Haugh's byline is synonymous with sycophancy, but even with his detestable history of acting as an uncredited public relations man for the Bears ownership, this obsequious prostrating is beyond the pale.
Philosophical middle ground? Ludicrous. Just ludicrous.
There's nothing remarkable about Haugh's writing. It's straightforward and authoritative, in the way that a know-nothing jackass in a seat behind you lectures his kids or wife or girlfriend about what's happening on the field. There's no art or beauty or craft. Just an unwavering confidence in the superiority of superficial views and the preemptive denigration of anyone that might disagree with this idiocy.
